<p></p>

<p>In this article, we will delve into the common misconceptions about productivity, explore how productivity paranoia can hinder progress, and shed light on the role of effective process management as a solution to this paradox.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-understanding-the-productivity-paranoia-phenomenon"><strong>Understanding The Productivity Paranoia Phenomenon</strong></h2>

<p>To begin our journey through the productivity paradox, let&#8217;s first address some of the most prevalent myths:</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Myth: Working Longer Hours Equals Higher Productivity</strong></h3>

<p>Working longer hours does not necessarily equate to higher productivity. There are diminishing returns associated with overwork. While working longer hours occasionally may be necessary, sustained overwork often leads to burnout, decreased efficiency, and a decline in overall productivity. Quality of work tends to suffer when individuals are fatigued, leading to more errors and lower job satisfaction.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Myth: A Packed Schedule Indicates Productivity</strong></h3>

<p>Having a jam-packed schedule may give the illusion of productivity, but it&#8217;s not necessarily an indicator of effective work. A busy calendar can lead to stress and decreased focus, leaving little room for unexpected issues or creative thinking. It&#8217;s essential to leave some whitespace in your schedule to adapt to changing priorities and to allow for downtime.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Telltale Signs and Impact</strong></h2>

<p><em><code><mark style="background-color:#8ed1fc" class="has-inline-color"><strong>The 'More is Less' Dilemma</strong></mark></code></em></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Common Signs and Symptoms in Employees:</strong></h3>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Excessive Worry About Work:</strong> Constantly worrying about work-related tasks, even during personal time.</li>

<li><strong>Long Working Hours:</strong> Frequently working well beyond regular office hours, often including weekends.</li>

<li><strong>Neglecting Personal Time:</strong> Little to no time for relaxation, hobbies, or personal life.</li>

<li><strong>Inability to Disconnect:</strong> Difficulty unplugging from work, frequently checking emails or messages during off-hours.</li>

<li><strong>Perfectionism:</strong> Striving for unrealistic standards of excellence and fearing mistakes.</li>

<li><strong>Physical Symptoms:</strong> Headaches, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and muscle tension.</li>

<li><strong>Emotional Distress</strong>: Anxiety, irritability, mood swings, and, in severe cases, depression.</li>

<li><strong>Reduced Job Satisfaction:</strong> Despite high productivity, a lack of fulfillment, and a sense of never doing enough.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>The Impact:</strong></h3>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Mental Health:</strong> Productivity paranoia can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, and, in severe cases, clinical depression. The constant pressure to perform can erode an individual&#8217;s mental well-being and lead to burnout. </li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-3-1.jpg" alt="Work-related stress leading to productivity paranoia" class="wp-image-12882" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-3-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-3-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-3-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-3-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Physical Health:</strong> Prolonged stress due to productivity paranoia can result in physical health issues, such as cardiovascular problems, digestive disorders, weakened immune systems, and sleep disturbances.</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-4-1.jpg" alt="Workplace Stress relation to health conditions" class="wp-image-12884" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-4-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-4-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-4-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-4-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Organizational Consequences-<em>The Struggle We All Share</em></strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Short-term Productivity vs. Long-term Profitability:</strong></h3>

<p>Productivity paranoia can initially boost short-term productivity as employees push themselves to meet unrealistic standards and work longer hours. However, this approach can harm long-term profitability in several ways:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Burnout and Reduced Quality: </strong>Over time, employees experiencing productivity paranoia may suffer from burnout, leading to decreased job satisfaction and lower-quality work. This can result in increased errors, decreased customer satisfaction, and higher operational costs. </li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-2.jpg" alt="Survey by Harvard Business Review on workload and burnout" class="wp-image-12885" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-2.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-2-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-2-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-2-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Employee Turnover:</strong> The constant pressure to perform can lead to high turnover rates, as employees seek healthier work environments. Replacing skilled employees is costly and can result in a loss of institutional knowledge. </li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-5.jpg" alt="Overwork leads to decline in productivity" class="wp-image-12886" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-5.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-5-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-5-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-5-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Innovation Stagnation:</strong> Employees under productivity paranoia often lack the time and mental space for creative thinking and innovation. This can hinder a company&#8217;s ability to adapt to changing markets and remain competitive in the long run.</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Healthcare Costs:</strong> Health issues related to stress and overwork can drive up healthcare costs for both employees and the company, impacting long-term financial health.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-6.jpg" alt="Employee Burnout affecting personal life and productivity at work" class="wp-image-12887" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-6.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-6-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-6-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-6-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Talent Drain:</strong></h3>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Work-Life Balance:</strong> Top talent often seeks a healthy work-life balance, and when this balance is disrupted by productivity paranoia, they are more likely to leave.</li>
</ul>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Competitive Job Market: </strong>In a competitive job market, top talent has numerous job opportunities, and they can easily switch to companies with a better work culture.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-7.jpg" alt="Workplace Culture affects employee retention" class="wp-image-12888" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-7.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-7-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-7-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-7-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />

<p></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Process Management: &#8220;Think of it as the Alfred to your Batman&#8221;</strong></h2>

<p>Now that we&#8217;ve dismantled the myths and addressed productivity paranoia, it&#8217;s time to focus on genuine solutions.&nbsp;</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Re-engineering Efficiency</strong></h3>

<p>Process management techniques can improve productivity without compromising employee well-being by optimizing workflows, reducing unnecessary tasks, and enhancing overall efficiency.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Some techniques include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Lean Six Sigma:</strong> This methodology focuses on reducing waste and variation in processes, leading to streamlined workflows and improved efficiency.</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-8.jpg" alt="General Electric (GE) implemented Six Sigma and saw increase in productivity &amp; profitability" class="wp-image-12889" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-8.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-8-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-8-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-8-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Business Process Reengineering:</strong> Reengineering involves a complete overhaul of processes to eliminate inefficiencies, making them more effective and employee-friendly.</li>

<li><strong>Agile Methodology: </strong>Commonly used in software development, Agile promotes iterative work cycles, clear communication, and adaptability, which can reduce stress and increase productivity.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px">Human-Centric Processes: <strong>Designing Processes with Employee Well-being in Mind</strong></h3>

<p>Human-centric processes prioritize the well-being of employees by considering factors like workload, stress levels, and job satisfaction.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This approach leads to:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Reduced Administrative Tasks</strong>: Simplifying administrative tasks and reducing bureaucratic hurdles to improve employee work-life balance.</li>

<li><strong>Flexible Work Arrangements:</strong> Allowing for flexible work hours and remote work options, can enhance job satisfaction and reduce commute-related stress.</li>
</ul>

<p><em><strong>Examples of Companies Implementing Human-Centric Processes:</strong></em></p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>ROWE:</strong> GitHub, Lullabot, Trello, Toggl, and Pardot are among the companies that have adopted a &#8220;Results-Only Work Environment&#8221; (ROWE) approach. This approach empowers employees to work from any location and at their preferred times, as long as they consistently deliver results. This approach puts trust in employees and has led to increased productivity and job satisfaction.</li>

<li><strong>The Agile Model:</strong><a href="https://www.atlassian.com/agile/agile-at-scale/spotify"> Spotify uses an Agile approach </a>combined with human-centric principles to foster a culture of autonomy, accountability, and well-being among its employees. This has resulted in a more productive and innovative workforce.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px">Streamlining Workflows: <strong>The Importance of Clear Processes</strong></h3>

<p>Clear processes and workflows are essential for reducing wasted time and effort in organizations. They eliminate ambiguity, reduce redundancy, enhance accountability, facilitate decision-making, improve communication, and provide a foundation for adaptability and performance measurement. By investing in the streamlining of workflows and ensuring their clear documentation and transparency, organizations can achieve higher efficiency. Consequently, this benefits not only their bottom line but also enhances employee well-being.</p>

<p>Some techniques to Streamline Workflows:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Process Mapping:</strong> Visualize workflows using flowcharts or diagrams to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.</li>

<li><strong>Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):</strong> Create documented procedures for routine tasks, ensuring consistency and efficiency.</li>

<li><strong>Automation:</strong> Implement workflow automation tools to reduce manual intervention in repetitive tasks.</li>

<li><strong>Cross-Functional Teams:</strong> Collaborate across departments to optimize end-to-end processes.</li>

<li><strong>Regular Review:</strong> Continuously assess workflows to adapt to changing needs and improve efficiency.</li>
</ul>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Sidekicks: <strong>Sustainable strategies that lead to genuine productivity improvements.</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Leveraging</strong> <strong>Technology for Efficiency</strong></h3>

<p>Technology plays a pivotal role in automating repetitive tasks and enhancing efficiency across various industries and business functions.&nbsp;</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Here are several ways in which technology can be leveraged to achieve these goals:</strong></li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="2313" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1.jpg" alt="Leveraging Technology for Efficiency and productivity enhancement" class="wp-image-12891" style="object-fit:cover" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-130x300.jpg 130w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-443x1024.jpg 443w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-768x1776.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-664x1536.jpg 664w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-885x2048.jpg 885w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Internal-9-1-720x1665.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>
</div>

<p></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Emphasizing Downtime</strong>:</h3>

<p>Downtime is crucial for maintaining productivity. Rest and relaxation are essential for recharging your energy and creativity. Regular breaks and time away from work tasks can improve overall performance. Engaging in hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or pursuing interests outside of work can contribute to enhanced productivity when you return to work.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" style="font-size:20px"><strong>Practical Personal Strategies for Prioritization and Time Management:</strong></h3>

<p>Effective prioritization involves assessing tasks and determining their importance and urgency. Some strategies include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>The Eisenhower Matrix:</strong> Categorize tasks into four quadrants based on importance and urgency to decide what to tackle first.</li>

<li><strong>Time blocking:</strong> Allocate specific blocks of time to different tasks to maintain focus and avoid multitasking.</li>

<li><strong>The Pomodoro Technique:</strong> Work in short, focused intervals followed by short breaks to boost concentration.</li>

<li><strong>Using to-do lists:</strong> Keep a list of tasks and regularly review and update them to stay organized and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.</li>

<li><strong>Setting SMART goals:</strong> Create Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound goals to stay on track and motivated.</li>
</ul>

<hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />

<p>In the quest for enhanced productivity and sustainable profitability, organizations must strike a balance between the drive for efficiency and the well-being of their employees. The prevalent myths surrounding productivity, the damaging effects of productivity paranoia, and the potential for long-term harm to profitability underscore the importance of reevaluating our approach to work.</p>

<p>Navigating the intricate interplay between productivity and well-being, it&#8217;s crucial to acknowledge that true productivity extends beyond mere output. In addition, organizations that cultivate a culture of balance, promote efficiency through streamlined processes, and judiciously harness technology are well-positioned for long-term success. Moreover, attaining this equilibrium not only boosts productivity but also guarantees a healthier, more sustainable, and ultimately more profitable future for all stakeholders.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Why do we need to work for ideal workspace management? What makes it necessary? To put it plainly, the people! The context! We are now living in an era where communication is no more a concern. With physical stores seeing the virtual e-commerce space to now office space becoming flexible.<br>Because <a title="Freepressjournal" href="https://www.freepressjournal.in/business/corporates-demand-for-flexible-workspace-rise-by-73-in-jan-jun-period-to-31538-seats-report" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">73% of corporates were demanding flexible workstations by 2021</a>!<br>And not just that, hybrid working as a concept might be familiar to us today but has been in the pipeline for years now. (Surprising it is, but it’s true).<br>A lot more is expected to happen in the following decade. Till then, let’s try our best with what we can do.<br><br>In the following blog, we address the cardinal meanings an ideal workspace has. Both for the employees and employers. While looking at what it is in essence and how it affects the performance metrics.<br>Here’s an overview of the content comprised within:</p>

<li><a title="What it means to employees" href="#employee">What is ideal workspace management to employees?</a></li>

<li><a title="What it means for employers?" href="#employers">Why ideal workspace creation worries employers?</a></li>

<li><a title="How it affects performance?" href="#performance">How does ideal workspace management affect performance/ productivity?</a></li>
</ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="workspace" style="font-size:25px"><strong>What is an ideal workspace?</strong></h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">How do we define it? An ideal workspace varies for individuals and organizations. But over the reading and learning one thing that came out shining in the armor was the objective with these spaces.<br>“A space that thrives and challenges both employees and employers.”<br></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management.jpg" alt="Ideal workspace management " class="wp-image-9940" title="Ideal workspace management " srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Today ideal workspace management stems from the need and want of improving productivity (a section we will deal with later). It extends beyond the traditional space. And centers around the idea of having a space that is mobile, flexible, and well-managed by the tools at disposal.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Because workspace management impacts not just productivity but<br>Efficiency</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Team culture&nbsp;</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Well-being<br>Apart from this, a workplace is supposed to be inclusive for the likes of various individuals. Say the introverts, extroverts, and ambiverts. Because a diverse workspace also means handling everyone.<br><br>A workspace that brings you this?<br><a title="Click now" href="https://cedcoss.com/current-openings/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=Mridushi&amp;utm_campaign=cedcoss" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>Find Here</em></a></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="employees" style="font-size:25px"><strong>What is an ideal workspace management employees?</strong></h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Employees today are fixated on the <a title="Create your work-life balance" href="https://cedcoss.com/blog/why-its-important-to-have-a-work-life-balance/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=Mridushi&amp;utm_campaign=cedcoss" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">idea of work-life balance</a>. A demand that was sadly never raised and realized. But not anymore, as people realize the big FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) over things other than work, they are taking their lives more seriously.<br>This is why crafting the ideal workspace and its management becomes central to them.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">On rummaging through the thought books it was identified that:<br></p>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li>Employees need <strong>transparent communication</strong> within any setup they work in. Be it from the office <a href="https://www.commpro.biz/news/company-culture-in-a-remote-world?rq=workspace%20management" target="_blank" title="Remote working" rel="noreferrer noopener">or remote</a>. Or hybrid.</li>

<li><strong>A flexible working schedule </strong>helps them in managing work stress and <a href="https://cedcoss.com/blog/digital-sabbath-embrace-it/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=Mridushi&amp;utm_campaign=cedcoss" title="Psychological well-being" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">boosts their psychological well-being</a>. Thus many seek this today in their prospective managers.</li>

<li><strong>Work appreciation </strong>is also a leading factor that counts in for the ideal workspace for an employee today. They don’t want to do mechanical labor only. A word of appreciation is what they seek to build morale.</li>

<li>More freedom for <strong>creative expression </strong>is also a strong point that employees put forward in their work environment. You give them the sources and they want to unleash their creativity and deliver good work.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Have you forgotten or do we need to remind you again? Remember the great resignation the US faced last year in the month of November? Where more than 4.5 million people left their jobs. The reason being they were not satiated with what they did. And the need for more caused this mass resignation.<br><br>More so, the pandemic gave them the time to rethink. As to why they are doing what they are doing.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Gartner-study-1.jpg" alt="Gartner study" class="wp-image-9942" title="Gartner study" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Gartner-study-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Gartner-study-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Gartner-study-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Gartner-study-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Source: Gartner&#8217;s study</figcaption></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"><br>Hence looking further into it in terms of employees, they now want a space of value. Where further considerations like:</p>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li>Employees now seek a space where they are received with <strong>compassion, </strong>experience <strong>cooperation, and support. </strong>Because they win battles for you. If they receive the warmth and support, it gets reflected in your organizational growth with their increased productivity.</li>

<li>An active focus on <strong>healthcare and family </strong>seems to be a strong requisite for many. After all, they are working to take back something to them. Companies now offering competitive health benefits mean more to employees than companies who don’t.</li>

<li>They seek <strong>good leadership and guidance. </strong>Since that helps them step up or step down in their career. Therefore, it is a must to hone leadership for ideal workspace management.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Apart from what they seek, it is also important to note the ones on the other side. That is, the employers</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="employers" style="font-size:25px"><strong>Why ideal workspace creation worries employers?</strong></h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Often times employers here are at the receiving end of everything. But it’s important to look at their side of things too. They do have expectations from the workspace they create and run. For them creating ideal workspace management is crucial for crucial reasons.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><strong>The ‘why’ of employers</strong></h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Have you faced this question from employers during hiring? That says, ‘What’s your ideal work environment?’</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Employers ask this to identify two things:<br>First, will you be a fit for their company culture?<br>Second, your potential in the environment they provide.<br><br>Employers seek employees whose ideas and goals align with their thought processes. If it&#8217;s not 100% they are always up for making adjustments. But these two are crucial for them.<br><br>Plus, believe it or not, ideal workspace design has the power to make employees more loyal. But also that 73% of departments will work from home by 2028 (according to Upwork’s pre-pandemic survey) is racking their brain.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/What-it-means-for-employers-1.jpg" alt="What it means for employers " class="wp-image-9943" title="What it means for employers " srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/What-it-means-for-employers-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/What-it-means-for-employers-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/What-it-means-for-employers-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/What-it-means-for-employers-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><strong>What they are trying to do</strong></h3>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Okay, we get it, you cannot contain your workforce in solid grey space. They need space to move and work. Employers get this too. And thus, apart from working on the perks and benefits. There are certain intangible ideas they are bringing into the foreground.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Effective-ways-for-work-environment-improvement-1.jpg" alt="Effective ways for work environment improvement" class="wp-image-9944" title="Effective ways for work environment improvement" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Effective-ways-for-work-environment-improvement-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Effective-ways-for-work-environment-improvement-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Effective-ways-for-work-environment-improvement-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Effective-ways-for-work-environment-improvement-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"><br>Say:</p>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Working condition.</strong> That is the agreement on elements like work hours, remuneration, training, and work structure between the employee and the employer. This aspect is making companies bloom with regard to ideal workspace management.</li>

<li><strong>Company culture. </strong>This is a front that caters to the way internal communication flourishes within the company. This draws a sharp line between the norms they can exercise and the ones they can’t. While also shapes the value system for both the participants.</li>

<li><strong>Physical environment. </strong>True that today and for the coming decade physical environment won’t be much under the employers&#8217; influence. But shaping up spaces for the rotating 25% mean optimum space, transparent and well-lit (if possible, some infusion of natural light) rooms. With due care given to private rooms and shared spaces.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The last point is also a point of envy among many. Because uber spaces that are comforting and warm often create a positive outlook in bringing people on board. (Looking at you Google for such amazing spaces).<br><br><strong>Pro tip: </strong><a title="How to manage your stress" href="https://cedcoss.com/blog/what-to-do-on-a-stressful-day-at-work/?utm_source=blog&amp;utm_medium=Mridushi&amp;utm_campaign=cedcoss" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Check out all that you can do to avoid stress in a day’s work.</strong></a></p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"><br>But obviously not every company can pump up that sort of infrastructure. With what’s available they are all focused on one collective mission.<br>‘Delivering work that makes everyone grow and learn.’</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="performance" style="font-size:25px"><strong>How does ideal workspace management affect productivity/ performance?</strong></h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">We have already seen how ideal workspace management leads to employees becoming more loyal. If an employee receives it well then the impact on performance and productivity sees an upward curve.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">You control the space you work in. And with that very thought some physical attributes to help you perform better are:</p>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li>Decluttering your work desk. Trust me when I say this, the mess on the surface makes your mind messy too. So DECLUTTER.</li>

<li>Your background noise breaks your workflow and rhythm. An office layout or a zone free of that unwarranted noise will boost productivity.</li>

<li>(Day)Well-lit surroundings help by 84% in the reduction of eyestrains, headaches, and blurred vision, an attribute that has a massive impact on our performance.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-medium-font-size"></p>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-impacts-productivity-1.jpg" alt="Ideal workspace management impacts productivity" class="wp-image-9945" title="Ideal workspace management impacts productivity" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-impacts-productivity-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-impacts-productivity-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-impacts-productivity-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Ideal-workspace-management-impacts-productivity-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li>Surrounding your workstation with plants or artwork. This is one thing that not only channels a good mood but being devoid of it can make you sulk. So have it.</li>

<li>How sure are you of the effect temperature has on your working or working space? If not, consider. Because when the mercury levels go down, they take along with it your productiveness.</li>

<li>While many organizations today take up the 7s model for performance improvement.<br><br></li>
</ul>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img decoding="async" width="1000" height="500" src="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Improve-workspace-environment-1.jpg" alt="Improve workspace environment " class="wp-image-9946" title="Improve workspace environment" srcset="https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Improve-workspace-environment-1.jpg 1000w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Improve-workspace-environment-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Improve-workspace-environment-1-768x384.jpg 768w, https://cedcoss.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Improve-workspace-environment-1-720x360.jpg 720w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></figure>

<ul class="has-medium-font-size wp-block-list">
<li>Apart from these, a workspace that minimizes fatigue, provides movement and gives easy access to the things at hand. All in all takes care of the ergonomics of your work. A lack of which will take a toll on your performance and hamper productivity.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">So do you see now? How an ideal workspace management is crucial? It not only helps you deliver but helps you thrive physically and psychologically. A feat that many are finding difficult to achieve but are still seeking.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-parting-words" style="font-size:25px"><strong>Parting words</strong></h2>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">Ideal workspace management may be an idea of the perfect world. But knowing what works best for you is what makes an ideal workspace management easy. We may have shared an inside perspective here. Although what we suggest might go through enormous changes in the coming decades. Because the workspace is constantly evolving.</p>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">The next 10 years might be a time where digital dexterity will overpower the experience. Or say machines will become our colleagues. And data collection of employees will grow manifold. You never know.<br>The point is, the emphasis on creation and management of an ideal workspace is never-ending. All we can do in the process is imbibe what best fits both the parties and deliver what we are to give.</p>
