Senior Marketing Lead

We are seeking a Sr. Marketing Lead (3–5+ years of experience) to take ownership of the growth function end-to-end — from customer understanding and demand generation to on-site conversion and revenue impact.

This role is suited for a marketer with hands-on experience and a strategic perspective who understands how traffic acquisition, content, user experience, and conversion optimization work together as part of a cohesive growth system. Rather than focusing on individual channels in isolation, you will be responsible for building and scaling a structured, data-driven marketing engine.

You will lead strategy, guide execution, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business goals, while developing a team that operates with clarity, accountability, and consistency.


 

Responsibilities We’ll Trust You With

  1. Customer & Funnel Strategy (Top Priority)
  • Define core customer segments: merchants, agencies, developers, enterprise users
  • Map intent journeys: Awareness → Comparison → Purchase → Expansion
  • Decide:
    • Where users land
    • What page do they see
    • What CTA converts at each stage
  • Build and optimize B2B funnels for qualified product inquiries
  • Own positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation
  1. Demand Generation & Campaigns
  • Plan and execute:
    • Product launches
    • Feature-led campaigns
    • Bundles and seasonal offers
  • Align SEO, content, email, and paid into a single GTM motion
  • Improve repeat purchases, upsells, and cross-sells
  1. Website, Landing Pages & CRO
  • Own site structure, navigation, and product discovery
  • Optimize:
    • Product pages
    • Category pages
    • Comparison & feature pages
  • Work with design/dev to reduce friction and increase conversion
  • Run CRO experiments using heatmaps, funnels, and behavior data
  1. SEO & Content (Revenue-First)
  • Build content clusters around:
    • Buyer problems
    • Product use cases
    • Feature comparisons
  • Decide:
    • What content should rank
    • What should convert
    • What supports sales
  • Audit high-traffic, low-conversion pages and fix monetization gaps
  • Guide intent mapping, internal linking, and AI-assisted content quality
  1. Analytics & Decision-Making
  • Own GA4, Search Console, funnel, and conversion reporting
  • Track traffic quality, page-level conversion, and drop-offs
  • Turn data into:
    • Clear priorities
    • Experiments
    • Execution plans
  • Report insights, not vanity metrics
  1. Team Leadership & SOPs
  • Lead SEO, content, design, and outreach teams
  • Provide:
    • Clear briefs
    • Clear success criteria
  • Build SOPs for content, landing pages, audits, and campaigns
  • Run outcome-focused weekly reviews
  • Raise the team’s thinking bar, not just output
  1. Cross-Functional Ownership
  • Partner with product on launches and positioning
  • Work with sales/support to capture objections and insights
  • Align with leadership on growth priorities
  • Translate product features into clear value propositions

 

Core Competencies

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Shopify or WooCommerce marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong hands-on experience using Shopify for marketing initiatives, including store setup, app integrations, product optimization, and campaign execution
  • Prior exposure to WordPress, WooCommerce, SaaS, or other technology-driven products
  • Proven expertise in SEO, content strategy, analytics, and reporting
  • Proficiency with tools such as GA4, Search Console, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms
  • Demonstrated track record of demand generation and lead growth
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with international (US/EU) markets
  • Understanding of Product-Led Growth (PLG) models
  • Hands-on CRO experimentation mindset
  • Prior experience fixing declining traffic, engagement, or conversion challenges
